I built the canvas for this painting a little while back - it is hollow plastic form that was constructed out of sheets - sanded and smoothed corners. It was painted in 2025 for a group portraiture show at 15 Windows Gallery in St. Louis.
This is 31.5" from side to side, about 24" from top to bottom, and about 4.75" deep. I used spray paint and acrylics on this piece and wanted to achieve stipple layering with the paint to have some skin texture depth. I imagined 'Bob' as a character that always talks too much shit and gets into fights all the time - obviously he sucks at fighting and usually just gets his ass kicked.
